The focus is on practical information, orientation and support on professional, social and legal opportunities – for example, on job market opportunities, training, counseling options or legal issues regarding residence.
The Vienna Action Plan against Racism 2025 is a comprehensive program of the City of Vienna to prevent and combat racism in all its forms. It was adopted by the Vienna City Council in October 2025 and is aimed at both the city administration and the entire population of Vienna in order to strengthen social cohesion and actively counteract discrimination.

On 23 and 24 May, the Afghan Cultural Association AKIS is organizing the conference “Against Gender Apartheid. Promoting Afghan women and girls through education and work” in cooperation with the VIDC, the Vienna Chamber of Labor and the trade union women in the Austrian Trade Union Federation (ÖGB). The reception and conference will address the situation of gender apartheid, in particular the catastrophic educational situation of Afghan girls and women.
