“Migration is female” – with this guiding principle, Angela Ivezic from the Counselling Center for Migrants opens her lecture on 8 October 2025 as part of Wien.Vielfalt.Wissen.
The special challenges faced by women with a migration background are addressed, particularly in the context of family problems and violence. Strict provisions in residence law, a lack of educational and employment opportunities and economic dependencies are discussed. The aim is to show ways in which women can find ways out of isolation and violence – through access to education, work and support.
