A few days before April 30, Unemployment Day, a media event will draw attention to the situation of people affected by unemployment. The situation on the Austrian labor market has recently eased considerably.
Professional competence in dealing with migrants is an important factor in counseling and support – that is why the Counseling Center for Migrants is again conducting the SIQUA (Sensitization Information Qualification) training in May 2023.

Since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan in August 2021, the living situation of women in Afghanistan has been affected beyond all measure. Women and girls suffer from a lack of freedom, a lack of access to education starting from the seventh grade and to universities, to recreational and medical facilities … New violent attacks on women and girls in the country are reported almost daily.
At the Counseling Center for Migrants, 48 employees assist those seeking help in all aspects of the integration process – in 28 languages. From entry into professional life to the recognition of training acquired abroad, migrants are helped here.
In cooperation with the City of Vienna, the Counseling Center for Migrants offers information events for up to 170 people per appointment.
