Vienna.diversity.knowledge. – Family reunification

Under what conditions may family members of third-country nationals (persons who are neither EEA citizens nor Swiss nationals) stay and work in Austria for longer than 6 months? In this presentation, you will learn more about the relevant regulations under immigration law. Due to current events, case studies from Afghanistan will be discussed.

Day against racism

At the event, civil society initiatives and educational institutions will address racist discrimination in relation to language and multilingualism. This is expressed in everyday language, public discourse and structures and hinders the social recognition and social inclusion of multilingual people in Vienna.

Vienna Women’s Week 2024

In 2022, the largest Viennese women’s survey “Vienna as she wants it” was conducted. It shows the situation of women and girls in Vienna as well as their wishes and ideas for the future. Around 15,500 Viennese women took part and gave more than 77,000 answers.

Migration. Woman. Family violence. – a search

Migration is feminine. Hardly any population group faces more problems than women with a migration background. This is particularly the case with family problems and violence in the family. Strict provisions in residence law, a lack of educational and employment opportunities and economic inequality are major obstacles for women with a migrant background.

Vienna.strengths – Protection from partner violence

The aim of the information event is to raise awareness of the issue of intimate partner violence, share experiences and discuss prevention and protection measures.
Target group: People who are in contact with people affected by intimate partner violence in their everyday and/or professional lives.
