SUMMARY:Migration. Woman. Family violence - a search
DESCRIPTION:Migration is feminine. Hardly any population group faces more problems than women with a migration biography – especially when there are family problems and violence in the family. Breaking free from violent relationships is difficult because the strict regulations in residence law\, lack of educational and employment opportunities\, and economic inequality are key obstacles for immigrant women. Together\, this module discusses and analyzes the areas of residence\, labor market\, and work-life balance. This knowledge should show ways to free oneself from dependencies and stop violence. Because: Migrant women must not be allowed to slip into isolation. \nLecturer: Angela Ivezic (Counseling Center for Migrants) \nDate: October 25\, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.\nVenue: 15th\, Gasgasse 8-10\, Stiege 1\, 1st floor left\, Amtshaus Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus\, seminar room of the Department of Integration and Diversity \n  \nExtract from Original – City of Vienna\, August 16\, 2023 \n

SUMMARY:Media appointment for the opening of the Job Mile
DESCRIPTION:  \nBM Kocher\, des. AMS Vienna GF Göschl and Caritas Vienna Dir. Schwertner open 12th Job Mile and show perspectives and obstacles for people affected by unemployment\nVienna (OTS) – A few days before April 30\, Unemployment Day\, a media event will draw attention to the situation of people affected by unemployment. The situation on the Austrian labor market has recently eased considerably. At 6.2 percent\, the unemployment rate is currently lower than it has been since 2008. The placement rates in Caritas employment projects are also more positive than they have been for a long time. And many companies are still desperately seeking personnel. At the same time\, there are still unemployed people who are not benefiting from this good economic situation. Especially for long-term unemployed people\, re-entering the labor market is challenging. The Job Mile is intended to remedy this situation. \nAfter a two-year Corona-related hiatus\, the 12th Job Mile will take place on April 25. At this job fair\, Caritas and 23 other organizations present concrete job and counseling offers for long-term unemployed women and men. \nMedia appointment and opening “Job mile” \nwith \n\nMartin Kocher\, Federal Minister of Labor and Economic Affairs\nWinfried Göschl\, designated Managing Director AMS Vienna\nKlaus Schwertner\, Caritas Director of the Archdiocese of Vienna\n\nPeople affected by unemployment are available as interview partners. \nWhen: Tuesday\, 25.4.2023\, 9 a.m.\nWhere: carla mittersteig\, Mittersteig 10\, 1050 Vienna \nRegistration is requested. \nInquiries & Contact:\nMichaela Knight\nPress\, Caritas of the Archdiocese of Vienna\nMobile: 0676 4634932\nmichaela.ritter@caritas-wien.at
